5 reason to get married in Florence

There are probably hundred of good reasons to get married in Florence, but as a wedding photographer that was born and raised in this beautiful city, I want to tell you the first five.

First reason: Florence is a really romatic city, the perfect place to get married or just to fall in love. If you walk in the centre of Florence you can understand why in Florence you may find the perfect atmosphere for an engagement or for a surprise proposal.

The center of Florence is a concentrate of art and beautyand you can easily walk through thr heart of the city in 20 minutes; from Piazza Duomo you can reach Piazza Pitti in a few minutes walk. Florence is more intimate and is not dispersive as a big city like Rome.

The second reason: the beautiful hills that surround the city, where you can find the perfect villa for your ceremony or where you can just relax with your friends and family after your wedding day. Third reason: you may get married with a civil ceremony in one of the most beautiful town hall in Italy, the Sala Rossa in Palazzo Vecchio. If you prefer to get married outdoors, you can choose the Giardino delle Rose, a beautiful garden available for your civil ceremony in Florence.

Fourth reason: in the city of Florence you can enjoy a very sophisticated and genuine cuisine. You can choose between elegant restaurants as well as family owned smaller and cozy places called “trattoria”.

The last reason to get married in Florence: this city holds the most romantic spots in the center and in his surroundings. You can take the most unforgettable pictures in the city center and later on, move towards the countryside, just a few minutes away you can find the most amazing backdrops in San Casciano and the Chianti area.
