Places like La Foce farmhouse and the medieval village of Ripa d’Orcia reach something close to their fullest form in October.
In Chianti, vineyards are stunning: Castello di Vicchiomaggio and Il Palagio are surrounded by rows of vines turning deep red and orange — a backdrop that roots every portrait in place and season.
