The Wedding Day

A beautiful sunny day accompanied this wedding in the heart of Florence.

The day began with Rachel’s preparations in a charming apartment located right in front of Palazzo Vecchio. The real highlight of the space was the small terrace that seemed almost close enough to touch the historic tower itself. From there, I was able to capture unique and elegant images of Rachel’s dress and accessories, framed by one of Florence’s most iconic landmarks.

Shortly after, I joined Jack and his groomsmen. The atmosphere was relaxed and playful as we photographed this group of stylish young men getting ready for the day ahead. Together we walked through the narrow streets of Florence toward the small church where the ceremony would take place, hidden among the city’s historic buildings.

One of the most emotional moments of the day was the first look between Rachel and her father. It took place on a narrow terrace overlooking the famous Ponte Vecchio — an intimate and touching moment that perfectly captured the emotions of the day.

The ceremony itself was deeply moving, with more than a few tears among family and friends. After the final kiss, greeted by warm applause, everyone gathered outside the church for the traditional Italian rice toss, celebrating the newly married couple.

With the formalities of the ceremony behind them, Rachel and Jack enjoyed a relaxed walk through the streets of Florence with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Taking photos in the center of Florence, surrounded by so many people, is not always easy. You have to find the right angles and small pockets of space that allow the couple to stand out from the busy atmosphere around them. Thanks to my experience and knowledge of the city’s most characteristic corners, we were able to create truly extraordinary images.

Of course, we couldn’t miss the opportunity for photographs in front of the iconic Galleria degli Uffizi. The warm afternoon light created the perfect atmosphere for some truly beautiful portraits.

As the sun began to set, we made our way to Palazzo Gondi, where an elegant dinner was held. The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches and emotional moments, especially during the bride’s father’s speech, which touched everyone present.

The celebration concluded with the traditional cake cutting in the stunning courtyard of this historic palace — the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable wedding day in Florence.
